Do I need to buy a Meal Plan?

All On-Campus Residents are required to choose from one of our Purple All Access Plans. Any Commuter Student can purchase a Gold Plan or Purple All Access Plan. Both options are designed for the on-the-go Pirate student in mind. If you plan to dine on campus 2 or more times a week, these plans will offer the most value and convenience.

Will my Meal Plan auto-renew for next semester?

Both Purple and Gold Plans will auto renew for the spring semester. If you choose to make any changes to your Meal Plan, you must contact the Dining Office located in Jones Residence Hall by emailing Dining@ecu.edu or calling 252-328-3663.

Will unused Purple/Gold Bucks roll over?

Purple Bucks will roll over from fall to spring semesters only and then expire. Gold Bucks will roll over from year to year until graduation.

If I have already purchased a Meal Plan, can I change it?

Yes, you can change your Meal Plan up until specific days each semester. The last day to change a Meal Plan is the Friday after MLK Day for the spring Semester (January 14, 2023).

What are Pirate Meals?

Pirate Meals add variety to your Meal Plan by offering the ultimate convenience and value with combo meal options that can be used for entry into Todd or West End Dining Hall, or as a Meal Swipe at our food courts and restaurants on campus without having to dip into your Purple or Gold Bucks. Pirate Meals do not roll over between semesters. View your Spring 2023 Pirate Meal options here.

Do Pirate Meals come with my Meal Plan?

Depending on which plan you have, a certain number of Pirate Meals are included per semester. All of our ALL Access and Gold Block Plans have pirate meals, except for the Purple Flex and Gold $450.

What are Purple Bucks?

Purple Bucks are like a debit card for food on campus. They are attached to the student’s ECU 1 Card and are accepted at all of our dining locations.

What happens if my Purple Bucks are running low?

No problem! You can add Gold Bucks throughout the semester using Pirate Port or contact the Dining Office located in Jones Residence Hall by emailing Dining@ecu.edu or calling 252-328-3663.

What are Gold Bucks?

Gold Bucks are like a debit card for food on campus. They are attached to the student’s ECU 1 Card and are accepted at all of our dining locations. Gold Bucks do not expire until you graduate unlike Purple Bucks, which expire at the end of the year a Purple Plan is purchased. Gold Bucks can also be used at select ECU sporting events for concessions.

How do I add more Gold Bucks?

You can add more Gold Bucks anytime during the semester by using the GET Mobile App or through the GET website
